Machining & Gunsmithing Prices
The following pricing reflects standard labor rates for common machining and gunsmithing services. All work is performed in-house. Final pricing may vary based on firearm configuration, condition, or additional work requested. Parts and refinishing are not included unless otherwise noted.
Shipped-in services require prepayment of round trip shipping. Labor is billed separately after completion of work.
Optic Cut (Customer-Supplied / Carried-In Optic)

Precision optic cut performed in-house. For customer-supplied optics, the optic must be provided at the time of machining to ensure proper fit, alignment, and mounting tolerances.
Optic Cut with Optic Package
For customers purchasing an optic through AMW Armament, package pricing is available that combines the optic and optic cut at a reduced overall cost. Price varies, see a list of common package deals here.
Basic Barrel Porting

Upgraded Barrel Porting

Slotted or round linear port configuration with chamfered edges for improved appearance and refined machining detail.
Basic “V” Porting

Chunk Ports

Chunk port with chamfered port window, chamfered barrel port, counterbored barrel and front sight relocated.
Flush Cut and Reverse Crown Barrel

Additional 1911/2011 slide and frame services are available. Due to the wide variation in configurations and customer preferences, these services are quoted after consultation.

Additional Notes
Optic cuts for customer-supplied optics require the optic to be present at the time of machining. Optic cuts will not be performed without the optic on hand to ensure a precise fit.
Cold bluing is applied on all raw metal surfaces when applicable.
All pricing listed reflects standard labor rates. Final pricing is confirmed after inspection. Turnaround time varies based on service and current workload.
